Slowing down can be a good thing
When studying things as an adult, there's often a pressure to finish things quickly, to "lock in". Which I do agree with but that can lead to less favourable outcomes.
One of the great things about learning and developing skills later in life is is that we have the freedom to go deeper, there's no exam coming up that you have to memorise for. Instead, you can take some time to really understand what you are studying.
That's one of the big reasons why I signed up to MathAcademy, to review the math I learnt in the past but had to cram for, it's good to remind yourself of that as at times I do want to finish a lesson quickly just so I can move on and finish the course, but that's not the point , not for me at least!
